New tools have necessitated an expansion of Naughty Dog's territory. Nate glides over rock faces like he's on a water slide thanks to the steep gravel roads. Uncharted 4's camera worships Nate's grappling hook, lovingly zooming out as he swings from cliff faces to bring home a stunning panorama in a new 4x4 that handles well across rough terrain. Using the DualShock's thumbstick, you can now manipulate Nate like a puppet and reach for platforms, resulting in smooth, uninterrupted ascent. Uncharted 4 has a high degree of polish and slickness. Gunfights are a breeze for them, and they're always amusing throughout the whole game. They'll let you clamber over them if they're in your way when ascending. Even in the most frenzied or frightening parts, Uncharted 4's accompanying characters never break the spell They will crouch down in the tall grass next to you if you opt to play stealthy. A heartfelt performance from Nolan North and Emily Rose as well as intriguing performances from newcomers Troy Baker, Laura Bailey and Warren Kole make for a well-rounded cast. Characters tense up and relax in this episode, thanks to a superb voice cast and well-considered script. It's amazing how many interesting things we learn just by having these little side talks.

Throughout its calmer moments, Uncharted 4 does an excellent job of exploring a more world-weary crew of explorers. Even if the basic premise of the film is overly familiar - Nathan Drake and Elena Fisher are trying to settle down and live a normal life until Nate's presumed dead brother shows up with an offer he can't refuse - the story's main focus is the characters' struggle to balance their adult responsibilities with the promise of excitement they secretly crave. It's a riveting few chapters that flow between multiple historical periods with cinematic flare in Uncharted 4's tale. However, I liked the way you would have to find cover and how some enemies would try and flank you making you think about what you were doing.The 15-hour journey begins with a laser-like concentration.

This is the game that this generations Tomb Raider should have been! This first game is a lot more “shooter” heavy than the series would become. The gameplay is like Naughty Dog took all the things that made Tomb Raider and Indiana Jones cool and mixed them together to create Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune. This is one of those games that is great to play with the sound cranked up or even better, with surround sound as it will really rock the room! Hello Indy, Meet Lara The soundtrack is great, not just the voice acting, but the sound design of the game in general. It may be a bit jaggier than what we have now, but this is a game that is still very easy on the eyes.

Even the original game on PS3 looks great if you ask me. The game still holds up pretty well to this day, especially if you are playing the collection that was released on the PS4. With lush green jungles, fantastic water effects, and dark and dank caverns to explore. Only On PS3!Īt the time the visuals in Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune were second to none. The story is brought to life with voice acting that still holds up very well to this day. This is the story that introduced some awesome characters such as that loveable old SOB Sully and the feisty Elena.
